Bar.celona day I

We dove right in with a veal con omelette di Francese.

Our first stop was Brasserie, a cute and cozy tapas joint.

We wandered the streets enjoying all the Christmas lit streets and ended up at a hidden alley way. We heard the music and couldn't resist following it. There were tons of people dancing the Spanish folk dance in circles full of joy and laughter to a live band. There were street hustlers selling beer by the can & a drunk jolly old man dancing his heart away aside the band. It was a lovely start to a wonderful trip!

I came across this image on Jak & Jill that embodied my post vacay mood.

I just got home from Barcelona, the absolute most beautiful city in the world. From the beach. to the food music and loveliest and liveliest of Europeans I've ever met! I'm already planning my return trip.

The inner obaaasan in me came out with all the cool japanese people we met and befriended. I always tell my ojiisan that I am truly an old japanese woman at heart <3

For the next month, i will be backpacking through Northern Europe. From Prague to Berlin Brussels to Amsterdam. I am on a search for something I'm not quite sure of. I know something is missing and I'll know once I find it.
